Overview

Starting February 8th, 2024 the ACP will no longer accept new enrollments.

Enrolled consumers can continue to receive their ACP service benefits.

Consumers enrolled in the ACP can also transfer their benefits.

Gen Mobile will no longer be able to enroll new applicants but will continue to accept new applications. Only transfers will be able to complete their application and receive Gen Mobile ACP service.

There will be a check on the website and Quest portal to verify an applicant is eligible to receive service as a transfer. If the applicant is a transfer, they will be able to complete their application.

The website and Quest portal flows will be the same, with the exception of new messaging for transfers only.

The website and Quest app will both include a new disclaimer and applicants must agree/accept the disclaimer.

Gen Mobile ACP Website Changes - Main ACP Page

The online process will be the same with a few minor changes. There will be an added disclosure on the main page under the existing main text.

* To qualify for a free smartphone, you must apply your applicable ACP and Lifeline benefits to your account. Gen Mobile will not provide a free smartphone more than once per year or if you previously canceled your account with Gen Mobile.

Gen Mobile ACP Website Changes - Plan Selection Page

On the plan selection page, applicants will receive a warning about only accepting transfers.

Starting February 8, 2024, the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) will not be accepting new enrollments. If you are an existing ACP consumer, you can still transfer your benefit to Gen Mobile.

Gen Mobile ACP Website Changes - Application Submitted Page

There will also be a message after the application is submitted successfully.

ATTENTION

Bear in mind that The Affordable Connectivity Program has stopped accepting new applications since February 7, 2024. If you are an ACP subscriber already, we will proceed to transfer your benefit from your current service provider to Gen Mobile and send you a confirmation email.

Applicants in states where Gen Mobile offers Lifeline will also see the message below:

Once you are qualified for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), we will also attempt to enroll you for the Lifeline benefit

Gen Mobile ACP Website Changes - Benefit Status Rejected Page

If the application is rejected because it is not a transfer, the applicant will receive a rejection message that says “ACP Application Not Approved.”

All other statuses and rejection reasons will remain the same.

Gen Mobile ACP Website Changes - Deenroll Page

From the My Benefit Status page consumers have the option to deenroll. If they choose that option, they will receive a warning that they will not be able to re-enroll if they cancel. Once a consumer de-enrolls, they would no longer be a transfer and they would not be able to enroll as a new customer.

Warning

De-enrolling from the ACP will remove the benefit from your current Gen Mobile service and you will no longer be enrolled in the program. If you press the cancel your service button, you will not be able to enroll again unless the ACP is funded.

Are you sure you want to proceed?

Gen Mobile ACP Quest Changes - ACP Wind-down Notice

When an ACP agent starts a new application they will receive a notice about the ACP status. They can continue or close the notice.

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) may be ending soon

Starting February 8th 2024:

⦁ Currently enrolled ACP consumers (transfer-ins):

Customers currently enrolled in the ACP with another provider may transfer their benefits to Gen Mobile's ACP until the end of the ACP.

⦁ New Applicants (not enrolled in ACP):

Applicants will not be able to enroll in ACP until Congress funds the program.

Gen Mobile ACP Web and Quest Change - New Disclaimer

On both the website and Quest app, consumers will need to agree to a new disclaimer. It will provide information on the Wind-down updates to the ACP.
