Photo ID Expiration Date Rules

Update received on : March 6, 2025

Last Update 7 months ago

The RTR agent must ensure that the validity of a photo ID follows the new process.

We will accept expired IDs in any acceptable document that is used for photo ID verification up to 1 year from the date of the application.

Important note: This only applies to the "Photo ID audit" document.

Disregard the "temporary expiration date" on the ID (if there is one), follow the regular expiration date and apply the 1-year rule if it has already expired.

EBT Cards that have no expiration dates are valid for five (5) years from the date printed on the card.
