For Texas Lifeline the street type and any directional information must match. All other current exceptions can be made for address verification.

"If the address document reads 733 S 8th Street the application needs to include S, So or South and must be a street. If the address has an abbreviation for part of the address, we can still accept it"

  • Unexpired driver's license
  • Utility bill
  • Current income statement from an employer, paycheck stub, or W-2
  • Prior year's state, federal or Tribal tax return
  • Current mortgage or lease statement
  • Unexpired government, state, or Tribal issued ID
  • Government assistance program documents
  • Statement of benefits from a qualifying program which contains name and address of subscriber
  • Retirement/pension statement of benefits
  • Unemployment/workers' compensation statement of benefits
  • Documentation containing the latitudinal and longitudinal coordinates of subscriber’s 
Pictures of a picture or a screenshot are acceptable as proof of eligibility as long as they include all required fields. If the customer is using a screenshot from “yourtexasbenfits.com” it needs to include either the URL or the logo for it to be eligible.
